It was the AB de Villiers show today at the Cricket World with South Africa convincingly hammering the West Indies with a comprehensive 257 run hiding.

De Villiers scored the fastest 150 in One Day International history as he blasted the Windies attack to all corners of the park with a knock of 162 not out from just 66 balls.
 
And the craziest of all is the fact that De Villiers was on 55 after 34 deliveries.
 
The captains’ innings help the side post 408 for 5, which is the second highest score in World Cup history.
 
During the Proteas innings alone the side became the first team for score 400 runs in an ODI in Australia.
 
261 Runs were scored in the last 20 overs, of which 150 were in the last 10 overs, and Windies captain Jason Holder conceded 64 runs in his last two overs.
 
De Villiers said things just worked for him today.
 
Imran Tahir took five wickets for 45 runs as the Windies were bowled out for 151 runs, and the quiet Pakistani-born spinner said he is glad he doesn't have to play against De Villiers.
 
South Africa next face Ireland on Tuesday at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.
 
Tomorrow it’s the big clash between the two host nations, New Zealand and Australia.
 
While the Blacks Caps are the form team of the competition they are they are not paying too much attention the favourites tag.
