This morning Bangladesh scored their highest ever score at the Cricket World Cup as they thump Scotland by 6 wickets at the Saxton Oval in Nelson.

The Scots were asked to bat first and scored 318 for 8 off their allotted 50 overs.
 
Opening batsman Kyle Coetzer was the star with the bat in the match as he hit 17 fours and 4 sixes in his outstanding knock 156 runs.
 
Soumaya Sarkar was the only Bangladesh batsman to fail with the bat as the rest of the top six got in among the runs.
 
Tamim Iqbal top scored for the Tigers as he just fell short of his ton after being trapped LBW for 95 runs.
 
Following the match, Iqbal said they adopted a different approach is chasing down the target.
 
Meanwhile, all eye have turned to Perth for tomorrow massive Group B clash between the Champions India and the West Indies.
 
While the champions are unbeaten, the Windies have two losses to their name and will want to set the record straight after their 257 run mauling at the hands of South Africa.
 
The WACA pitch is traditionally known for its pace and bounce and this may favour the Windies more.
 
A win for the Caribbean’s will benefit the Proteas and see them claim the top spot in Group B on net run rate.
 
Windies skipper, Jason Holder says although the pitch may favour them, they still need to use the conditions.
 
The Indians in their turn have gone about their business rather quietly at the tournament and prefer to leave the talking for on the field.
 
Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said they aren’t thinking about the knock out stage yet, but rather treat each game as if it’s a knockout game.
 
Tomorrow mornings’ match in Perth gets underway at 8:30.
