New John Deere director to start in August | News Article

Bloemfontein - John Deere has announced the appointment of one of its US executives, Jason Brantley, as the incoming director of its sub-Saharan Africa division.

Marketing Manager Carel Theron says Brantley is expected to officially take office in South Africa in August.
Theron says Brantley joined John Deere fresh out of college in the nineties and since 2009 has served as director for Enterprise Advanced Marketing, where his focus was on expanding the company’s innovation and technology efforts.

Theron says John Deere has a mature presence in South Africa but expects some of the biggest challenges for Brantley will be expanding the footprint into the rest of Africa:

He says Brantley was in South Africa last week for several meetings. Brantley’s appointment comes following the departure of Len Brand last month.
