OBP confirms release of two million doses of bluetongue vaccine─── SABRINA DEAN 17:49 Mon, 30 Mar 2015
Bloemfontein - Vaccine manufacturing company Onderstepoort Biological Products (OBP) told OFM that two million doses of the bluetongue vaccine will be available as of today.
Dr Jacob Modumo, business development officer at OBP, says there have been supply issues over the last few months due to equipment and process upgrades. He confirmed this morning, however, that OBP is “on track” with most vaccines for insect borne diseases, including bluetongue:

He says OBP recently produced three batches of B-Phemeral, or three days stiff sickness vaccine, comprising about 2000 ten dose units and adds that there is stock of African Horsesickness, as well as Brucella.
Moduma says there are also inactivated and live versions of a rift valley fever vaccine available.
