Sol Plaatje municipal officials arrested for copper cable theft─── 08:18 Wed, 28 May 2014
Kimberley - Three employees of the Sol Plaatje municipality have been arrested after being found in possession of copper and aluminium cables.
Municipal spokesperson, Sello Matsie, says the arrested officials are employed in the electricity division of the municipality which has recorded losses running into thousands of Rands over the past five years including fatalities of suspected copper thieves. Matsie said internal disciplinary action will follow.
