Bloemfontein - A Bloemfontein woman who stands accused of fraud, involving millions of rands was denied Legal Aid representation in the city's Magistrate’s Court this morning.

Lianné Greyling is facing 25 fraud charges, which stem from the import of luxury vehicles and motorcycles that she had ordered for customers. R5.2 million is believed to be involved.

A pre-sentencing agreement was cancelled last week after Greyling claimed in court that she did not willingly admit guilt to some of the charges.

She has indicated the she will, on July 31, appeal Legal Aid’s decision to not grant her representation.

It is at this stage unclear how Greyling earns her income, but one of her bail conditions is that she should not conduct any business in the import and export sector while her trial is underway.
