Bloemfontein - The case of attempted murder and assault with intention to do grievous bodily harm, against University of the Free State students Cobus Muller and Charl Blom, is underway in the Bloemfontein Regional court at the moment.
The two men stand accused of assaulting fellow UFS student Damani Muzi Gwebu on February 17th. Additional charges of reckless and negligent driving, as well as crimen injuria, were added to their charge sheet.
Gwebu is currently in the witness stand, recounting the events of the night. He at times seems unsure of himself in explaining to the court how the events unfolded. Gwebu is making use of a Zulu translator, who held up proceedings, which only got underway at 11h00 this morning. The case continues.
