Reitz farmer dies after farm attack; 3rd suspect still at large─── 05:51 Tue, 29 Jul 2014
Reitz - Free State farmer Andre van Greunen, who was attacked and shot on his farm near Reitz earlier this month, has died in hospital.
Van Greunen was attacked by three men on his farm Danielsrus on July 6. The three men shot at Van Greunen and he returned their fire, wounding one of the attackers in the upper thigh. The attacker, Emmanuel Sibiya later died while paramedics were attending to him.
Another one of the attackers has since been arrested and is expected to appear in the Reitz Magistrate's Court on August 5 to face charges of armed robbery and murder.
Police are still looking for the third suspect.
