Deneysville - Two suspects who were expected to appear in the Deneysville Magistrate’s Court tomorrow in connection with the disappearance of two seven-year-old boys at the weekend have been released.
Free State police spokesperson Thandi Mbambo says the suspects, aged 21 and 32 respectively, couldn't be positively linked to the incident.
Mbambo says police divers yesterday recovered the body of one of the boys, Nthako Thithi, in the Vaal Dam. She says they are still searching for any sign of the body of the remaining boy, Bongani Mosiya, but cannot yet confirm that both boys drowned.
Mbambo says there were no visible injuries after Thithi’s body was retrieved and they are waiting for the postmortem results to indicate any other cause of death besides drowning.
