Sasolburg - The Standard Bank Rising Star Awards recognises young business talent from various business sectors.
One such winner is Adriana de Beer, a business analyst at Sasol ChemCity, a Social Enterprise Development in Sasolburg. The 34 year old manages Sasol’s social investments towards economic development and environment sustainability.
She says being a winner in the energy and chemicals category is a big honour since small business development plays a big role towards sustainable living.
Managing Director of Rising Star, Laura Barker, says the awards are in their third year and they aim to unearth and recognise young talent in different work places.
She adds winners are given development platforms, mentoring and leadership conferences to enhance their leadership qualities, which will ultimately be great for the economy.
