Kuruman - The Joe Morolong Road Forum in Kuruman wants to meet with President Jacob Zuma, to plead their case in order for schooling in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District to resume.
This is according to the forum’s Kagisho Gaborokwe, saying all efforts between them and the department of public works and education in the Northern Cape has yielded more questions than answers.
Schooling in Kuruman at more than 50 schools was stopped more than two months ago due to violent protests, over a 130km stretch of road the community wants tarred.
Gaborokwe says they will meet with the education department’s ministerial office today, in a bid to try and resolve the issue, but he was adamant that they seek a meeting with President Zuma.
