Klerksdorp - The North West police have once again changed their tune regarding yesterday’s daring attempted bank robbery in Klerksdorp.
After initially stating that 12 men were apprehended following the failed heist at Flamwood Standard Bank, then changing it to 16, police spokesperson Thulani Ngubane today in a statement said the number was actually ten.
He says police officials received a tip-off about the planned bank robbery.
Two AK 47 rifles and three magazines were recovered.
No cash was robbed during the incident.
A waitress at the nearby Mike's Kitchen, Cathy Goodheart, already noticed that something was amiss two days before the incident.
