Child porn case: NW man handed suspended sentence | News Article

Potchefstroom - A North West man, who pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography, was handed a suspended sentence in the Potchefstroom Magistrate's Court this morning.

Gregory Robinson received a four year sentence, which was suspended for five years on provision that he not commit a similar transgression in that time.
He is one of six men who were apprehended in August last year in four provinces after the police received a tip from Interpol.

The men include two teachers and a retired school principal.

They hail from Lichtenburg, Bloemfontein, Pretoria, Douglasdale and Florida, among others.

Meanwhile, Bert Viljoen, the second North West suspect, will appear in the Lichtenburg Magistrate's Court on February 14 2015 on charges of possession of child pornography.
