Kimberley - The interim head of Kimberley's Sol Plaatje University is still deciding whether to apply for the position of vice chancellor of the university.
Yunus Ballim told OFM News his family is in Johannesburg and he has to discuss the matter with them. Applications for the position close on November 3.
The advertisement for the position was placed in local newspapers on Friday and went out in national papers at the weekend.
Ballim has been the interim head since the university opened its doors in September last year, and remained in the position when the first full time council was inaugurated earlier this year.
OFM News has reliably learned that Ballim has a good chance of being appointed to the position.
