Bloemfontein - The ANC in the Free State says employees of the Mafube Municipality in Frankfort are not being paid because of financial problems.
The party's provincial general secretary, William Bulwane says the municipality's financial woes are as a result of high unemployment in the area, with the majority of people not being able to pay for municipal services.
Bulwane was addressing the media in Bloemfontein on Thursday.
He said there is high rate of unemployment in the Free State.
Bulwane says the majority of municipalities rely on provincial and national government.

He adds that they are anticipating the provincial government budget being cut when the provincial mid-term budget is tabled.
