NW MEC sends condolences after official dies in car crash─── 09:45 Sun, 26 Oct 2014
Mahikeng - North West Local Government MEC Collen Maine has sent condolences to the families of two employees after one was killed and another seriously injured in a car crash while returning to Mahikeng from a work trip.
Spokesperson Ben Bole says the tragic accident happened between Koster and Lichtenburg on Friday afternoon.
Bole says the driver of the car was admitted to a private hospital in Klerksdorp with serious injuries but adds they have received word that he is doing fine.
He says the department is still busy engaging with family members and will only release the names of the officials once this has been concluded, probably only tomorrow morning. He says funeral arrangements will be communicated during the week.
