Another death in last night's Potchefstroom motor accident─── SABRINA DEAN 12:11 Wed, 29 Oct 2014
Potchefstroom - One of the children, who were critically injured in a motor vehicle accident on the R53 Parys Avenue in Elandsheuwel, Potchefstroom, last night, has died.
The accident occurred when a double-cab bakkie collided with a truck.
Netcare spokesperson Santi Steinmann says the driver of the bakkie sustained fatal injuries and a woman and three children, aged between three months to 10 years, were in a critical condition.
After the occupants were freed from the vehicle, they were treated on the scene and rushed to Potchefstroom hospital for urgent medical care.
During the night the eight-year-old boy also passed away. He suffered serious head and internal injuries.
The woman and baby have since been transferred to a hospital in Benoni. The ten-year old boy is still at Potchefstroom hospital. He is in a serious but stable condition.
