Bloemfontein Biker murder suspect granted bail | News Article

Bloemfontein - Biker murder suspect, Johannes du Toit, was granted bail of R1000 in the Bloemfontein Regional Court today.

He will be back in court on December 8.

Du Toit stands accused of killing Michael Jacobs on the night of November 8 close to the local Pub Stop bar. Jacobs was shot five times and succumbed to his wounds on the scene. In his bail application, Du Toit’s lawyer Johan Kramer, told the court his client acted in self-defence, while the state said there’s no dispute that the accused shot the deceased five times.

Du Toit last week testified that he was attacked by Jacobs and after the incident, he was assaulted by members of the public.
