Phuthaditjhaba - Eastern Free State police have recovered 22 stolen livestock in a village in Phuthaditjhaba after the owner of the animals reported the theft of 47 livestock.
Police spokesperson Mmako Mophiring says farmers should be wary of hiring individuals who don’t carry complete and authentic identification documents.
The Kestell and Phuthadithjaba stock theft unit received a tip-off about the theft and found one sheep already slaughtered.
A 47-year old suspect has been arrested and will appear in court on Friday on charges on stock theft.
