Stilfontein - The case against an 84-year-old North West man accused of killing his elderly wife was postponed again in the Stilfontein Magistrate's Court today.
Magistrate Marionette Kirstein said Kobus Groenewald is scheduled to appear again on March 2.
He will be sent for psychiatric observation at the Sterkfontein Hospital in Krugersdorp.
Doctors there will have to determine whether the elderly Groenewald is fit to stand trial for the murder of his wife.
Groenewald has been waiting for seven months for a bed at the psychiatric hospital.
He allegedly assaulted and stabbed his 69-year old wife Dienkie at their home in May of last year. She died in the attack.
