Six suspects apprehended for Prieska mine robbery─── OWEN KOCK 12:55 Tue, 27 Jan 2015
Prieska - Six suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the armed robbery at a Prieska mine yesterday.
According to Hawks spokesperson, Hangwani Mulaudzi, it is still unclear exactly how many robbers were involved, but they hope to make more arrests soon as well as recover the undisclosed number of diamonds allegedly stolen.
It’s alleged that around 03:40 yesterday morning, the suspects entered the mine premises, tied up security guards and stole the diamonds.
Mulaudzi says the suspects will appear in court soon.
