Accused biker murderer back in court on May 19 | News Article

Bloemfontein - Murder suspect Johannes du Toit appeared briefly in the Bloemfontein Regional Court this morning.

His case was postponed to May 19.

Du Toit stands accused of killing Michael Jacobs on the night of November 8 close to Pub Stop bar near Raymond Mhlaba Street in the city.

Jacobs was shot five times and died on the scene.

During his bail application, Du Toit’s lawyer Johan Kramer told the court his client acted in self-defence, while the state said there’s no dispute that the accused shot the deceased five times.

Du Toit earlier testified that he was attacked by Jacobs and after the incident, he was assaulted by members of the public.
