Suspended students demand R1 million from Kovsies─── OWEN KOCK 11:57 Thu, 05 Mar 2015
AfriForum Youth's legal team this morning served a letter of demand on Jonathan Jansen, rector of the University of the Free State in which former students Cobus Muller and Charl Blom, claim compensation of R1 million from him and the university.
This comes after the students were accused and acquitted of attempted murder last year by the court and the South African Human Rights Commission.
According to AfriForum’s Henk Maree, Muller and Blom were suspended and never given the opportunity to state their case. They were labelled as criminals in public and were barred from campus without procedure or trial.
Muller, today read out a statement at a media briefing.
