Police spokesperson, Peter Kareli, says the accident happened at around 13:30 when a minibus in which residents of the village were travelling rolled on the R700.
He says upon arrival police and emergency service personnel found a Toyota Hilux on the side of the road and a wrecked Toyota Quantum a few meters away in a farm yard.
According to Kareli both vehicles were heading in the direction of the town from Bloemfontein.
Kareli says the driver of the bakkie sustained minor injuries. Lettie Muller, Daan Minnie, Dinie Aschar and Charlotte Lategan died on the scene and Marie Ehlers later in hospital.
