Elderly woman killed, 8 injured in Potchefstroom accident─── 05:20 Mon, 30 Mar 2015
Potchefstroom - An elderly woman was killed and eight others, including four children, were injured when the bakkie they were travelling in rolled on the R501 about 20km from Potchefstroom, paramedics said.
The woman had succumbed to her multiple injuries, ER24 spokeswoman Chitra Bodasing said.
"Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for her. She was declared dead."
Other occupants were found scattered across the accident scene.
All eight were taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
