Galeshewe cops to appear for attempted murder and theft─── 05:54 Thu, 09 Apr 2015
Galeshewe - Two Northern Cape police constables are expected to appear in the Galeshewe Magistrate's Court again today on charges of attempted murder and theft.
Tshidiso Bodigelo and Makwadi Mashalane allegedly went to the house of a Nigerian national and informed him that they were looking for drugs, but that they could not find any. After the police officers left, the complainant alleged that his cell phone and wallet were missing.
Later that afternoon, the Nigerian national said there were two withdrawals from his account. He then opened a case against the two.
It is further alleged that the officers drove into the complainant while he was riding his bicycle. He sustained slight bruises to his legs.
The suspects have been remanded in custody and are expected to make a formal bail application today.
