Bloemfontein - DA leader Helen Zille says there’s no hope for indebted Free State municipalities who fail to deliver basic services.
Addressing delegates at the Free State provincial congress in Glen outside Bloemfontein at the weekend, Zille said the DA’s job between now and the municipal elections next year will be to convince the people of the Free State, they have the power to change the situation.
Zille says voters should know Free State municipalities are collectively indebted to the amount of R3.6 billion.
She added, without sowing doom and gloom, there’s no hope for these municipalities and there’s no reason to re-elect the ANC.
