Bloemfontein - The police in the Free State are hosting a youth summit in an bid to draw up a plan to discourage young people from committing crime.
Police, Roads and Transport MEC Butana Komphela said the provincial summit forms part of the national crime prevention strategy.
He says the members of several youth organisations in the province will draw up a plan outlining how to reduce criminal activities by young people.
Butana says after the summit a report detailing the plans will be presented to the provincial executive council to discuss cost implications.
