Police warn about hijackings in Bloemfontein─── OWEN KOCK 15:52 Tue, 28 Apr 2015
Bloemfontein - The Park Road Police in Bloemfontein has issued a warning to the public about a black Volkswagen motor vehicle with an unknown registration, hijacking unsuspecting motorists in the city.
Police spokesperson Wendy Nkabi, says they’ve recorded several cases of this nature since the beginning of the month, and urged the public to be cautious.
She says in one of the incidents, two victims were hijacked in the city and abandoned by the suspects in Brandwag and the vehicle later discovered in Lesotho.
Nkabi urged the public to be alert, especially when travelling at night.
Nkabi says if any suspicious behaviour is suspected, members of the community are asked to contact their nearest police station or the emergency line at 086 000 10111.
