Fedsas to provide more training to SGBs countrywide─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 10:12 Sat, 16 May 2015
Bloemfontein - The Federation of Governing Bodies of South African Schools (Fedsas) will continue to provide more training opportunities to newly elected SGB members across the country.
This comes after about 5 000 SGB members from 800 schools in all nine province have already received training over the past three weeks.
Deputy CEO, Jaco Deacon, says more than 930 SGB members in the Free State have received training with more than 260 in the Northern Cape and more than 600 in Northwest.
According to him training is also provided to non-members as the federation believes knowledgeable SGB’s are indispensable to education in the country.
Deacon appeals to SGB’s to contact a Fedsas provincial manager to arrange attendance.
