Opposition parties accuse Free State premier of being dishonest─── 13:18 Tue, 26 May 2015
Bloemfontein - Opposition parties in the Free State reacted strongly against the appointment of 40 Cuban engineers in the provincial department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
EFF Provincial chair, Kgotso Morapela, accused Free State Premier Ace Magashule of being dishonest and unappreciative of engineers in the province. He says approximately 60 engineers are being produced by the Central University of
Technology and the University of the Free State - contradicting Magashule’s excuse of lack of skills for hiring Cuban engineers.
DA MPL Roy Jankielsohn says the provincial government could've employed any of the about 500 qualified, experienced, and unemployed engineers in the country.
