Two to appear in NW court for possession of explosives | News Article

Brits - Two people are expected to appear in the Brits Magistrate's Court today on charges of possession of explosives.

North West police spokesperson, Paul Ramoloko, says the suspects were arrested at a petrol station in Bapong village on Thursday with 40 explosives and 73 detonators in their possession. The suspects are aged 33 and 43.
 
Ramoloko says one of the suspects admitted to police that there were more explosives at his home. Upon further investigation, police found an additional 20 explosives and 53 detonators at the house.
 
The 43-year-old suspect is allegedly an employee at Lonmin mine.
