Serious problems found at Ganyesa Community Health Centre | News Article

Ganyesa - Members of the portfolio committees on Health and Social Development in the North West Legislature found some serious problems at the Ganyesa Community Health Centre, in the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District, during an unannounced visit as part of its "Taking Parliament to the People" campaign this week.

Acting chair of the committee, Jeannette Dibetso–Nyathi, says the centre is too small to serve a community that size, there was a shortage of medication and staff, as well as challenges with record-keeping. She said the centre also does not have a generator to deal with load shedding.

But, Dibetso–Nyathi says the biggest shock was that the centre’s pharmacy license expired two years ago.
