Bethlehem guesthouse fire: Estimated damage to be assessed─── 08:05 Mon, 29 Jun 2015
Bethlehem - The police are today expected to assess the damage caused by a fire that gutted a well-known Bethlehem guesthouse at the weekend.
Free State police spokesperson, Mmako Mophiring, says officers have been going over the scene with a fine tooth comb and although the initial indication is that the fire was caused by a gas stove, the investigation will continue into the exact cause of the fire.
The 30 roomed La Croche guesthouse burned to the ground. No one was injured in the blaze.
Mophiring says a car of one of the guests at the guesthouse was also caught in the fire.
