Free State’s stage truck unveiled | News Article

Bloemfontein - Free State MEC of Arts and Culture, Mathabo Leeto, has unveiled the province’s stage truck, which has been described by engineers as one of a kind in the country.

The vehicle may look like an ordinarily truck on the outside, but it has a spacious performing stage on the inside. Leeto says the truck will be cost-effective and will also create job opportunities for local artists. She further explained that the truck, which took four months to build, cost R5 million.

Leeto was joined at the unveiling in Bloemfontein by Free State premier, Ace Magashule, MEC for Police, Roads and Transport, Butana Komphela, Education MEC, Tate Makgoe, and Agriculture MEC, Mosebenzi Zwane, among others. The truck will travel to all 82 towns of the province.
