Krugerlaan bullying court case postponed | News Article

Vereeniging - The matter against a pupil who was filmed beating another boy at the Krugerlaan High School in Vereeniging, in full view of the teacher who failed to intervene, was postponed in the Vereeniging Magistrate’s court this morning for further investigation.

According to the victim’s legal representative, Bernice de Beer, the case will resume again on August 4.

The alleged bully was previously released into the custody of his parents, while the teacher Henk Slippers was released on R1 000 bail.

A cellphone video of the incident, which went viral, showed the teenager telling the viewers that he had permission to assault the boy, whom he then slaps, punches and knees. As the camera pans around, Slippers can be seen sitting at his desk marking books.
