Criminal investigation following Aurora verdict | News Article

Pretoria - Trade union Solidarity will assist the South African Police Service with a criminal investigation following last week's judgment in the Aurora matter.

Judge Eberhard Bertelsmann ruled last week that the directors of Aurora Empowerment Systems may be criminally charged with various counts of corruption and the mismanagement of two former Pamodzi mines in Orkney and Springs.

The police earlier this week invited interested parties to submit information which may aid them in their investigation.

This comes after the North Gauteng High Court ruled that Khulubuse Zuma, nephew of president Jacob Zuma, Zondwa Mandela, grandson of former president Nelson Mandela, Thulani Ngubani and Solly and Fazel Bhana were jointly and severally liable for hundreds of millions of rands in damages.
