Bloemfontein - The DA in the Free State says the supply of water to residents should not be a political issue.
Democratic Alliance councillor, Rossouw Botes, said this following the yesterday's council decision to start implementing water restrictions in Bloemfontein for the first time in 32 years.
Botes says in the past, Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality officials have made council discussions around possible water restrictions a political issue.
Botes says the following price increases will also apply.
The city last had water restrictions in 1983.
