Drug lab uncovered in upmarket Bloemfontein suburb─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 11:50 Mon, 27 Jul 2015
Bloemfontein - A 28-year-old Nigerian man is expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court tomorrow after police found a makeshift drug laboratory at a house in Helicon Heights where he resided.
Free State police spokesperson, Peter Kareli, says Bayswater police were patrolling the area at around 18:00 yesterday when they stopped to question the suspect who seemed suspicious at the time. The patrol followed a scourge of recent house-breakings in the area.
According to Kareli the foreigner refused to give his personal information to police officers. When he was searched, police found a cell phone which upon further investigation led them to a house in Gascony Crescent.
