Young woman found dead in guesthouse bathtub─── 07:37 Mon, 03 Aug 2015
Bloemfontein - North West police have launched a manhunt for a man believed to be the boyfriend of a young woman who was found dead with several stab wounds in a bathtub at a guest house in Zeerust at the weekend.
Police spokesperson, Pelonomi Makau, says the unknown woman between the age of 16 and 18 was found by the guesthouse manager who became suspicious when he realised the couple did not check-out on Saturday.
She says the manager went to investigate and found the woman who was wearing a red jacket, blue T-shirt with an emblem of a local middle school, blue jean and black all-star sneakers in the room inside an empty bathtub.
Makau says the motive for the murder is unknown.
She appeals to anyone that may assist in identifying the deceased or who can provide more information about the incident to contact their nearest police station.
