Five of six NW escapees back behind bars─── DANE BEISHEIM 17:37 Mon, 03 Aug 2015
Stella - Atamelang police in North West have re-arrested five of the six suspects that escaped custody yesterday.
The suspects were arrested in Stella after police received a tip-off regarding their whereabouts. They were found in possession of two cellphones and a firearm that were robbed from a police official.
The suspects escaped after overpowering the official.
At the time of the incident, the suspects Sunnyboy Kealeboga Mokgosi (21) Thabang Gilbert Tladi (20), Thabang Sox Jacob Mosweu (18), Thabo Moreki (19) and Thabang William Montwedi (19) were awaiting trial on cases varying from murder to robbery.
Police spokesperson Sabata Mokgwabone has urged the community to help in re-arresting the sixth suspect.
