Harrismith - According to disgruntled community members in Harrismith, the town looks like a nuclear waste-land.
This after the Maluti-a-Phofung Municipality failed to collect refuse for the past several months, resulting in a pile-up of refuse in the town, its suburbs and surrounding townships. The DA’s Leona Kleynhans says the municipality's temporary solutions are ineffective.
Qwa Qwa and Kestell are also affected. According to Kleynhans service delivery in Maluti-a-Phofung has completely collapsed.
