Parliament summons NW Education MEC─── DANE BEISHEIM 16:11 Fri, 21 Aug 2015
Mahikeng - The National Council of Provinces Select Committee on Education and Recreation has summoned the North West province’s Education MEC Wendy Matsemela to Parliament to explain the current administration of her department.
This follows a visit by the NCOP’s Select Committee to North West this week.
The DA has welcomed a decision to have Matsemela account for the state of her department, which was earlier placed under administration due to poor financial management.
DA spokesperson Tutu Faleni says an overhaul of the department’s finances is needed to turn it around.
