Bloemfontein - Residents within the Matjhabeng Municipality will not have their water supply cut.
In an urgent application before the Free State High Court today, it was decided that water will under no circumstances be cut. According to court documents, an agreement has been reached between the municipality and Sedibeng Water.
Noted in the document, by agreement, the first respondent undertakes not to disconnect, suspend or terminate bulk water supply, either periodically, indefinitely or at all, pending the finalisation of the application which shall be enrolled for hearing on October 8.
Matjhabeng comprises Welkom, Virginia and Odendaalsrus, among others.
