Bloemfontein - A man suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run incident at the Free State stadium, in which a Bloemfontein Celtic supporter was killed, is expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Monday.
Police spokesperson, Chaka Marope, says Lebogang James Mangwegape (44) is expected to apply for bail following a brief appearance this week.
Mangwegape, who is believed to be from the Free State but is now employed at a private company in Johannesburg, faces charges of culpable homicide and failing to stop after an accident.
He was arrested last week at his house at Selosesha, Thaba Nchu after police traced the vehicle believed to have been involved in the accident which killed Molefi Diphoko after he and his wife attended the Celtic and Kaizer Chiefs MTN 8 semi-final on August 16.
Diphoko, a nurse at a hospital in Cape Town, is originally from Thaba Nchu. He was laid to rest there over the weekend. His funeral was attended by members of Celtic management and players.
