NC Premier speaks on MEC who passed away─── CATHY DLODLO 13:20 Fri, 28 Aug 2015
Kimberley - A very emotional Northern Cape Premier Sylvia Lucas addressed the media shortly after she arrived in Kimberley this morning on the passing away of education MEC Grizelda Cjiekella-Lecholo.
She was in Upington when she received the news around midnight that the MEC has passed away. Lucas says Cjiekella-Lecholo was one of the greatest ambassadors for women’s rights.
Cjiekella-Lecholo passed away after a short illness but Lucas could not give much detail.
Lucas says they're going to apply for a state funeral.
