Preparatory exams go ahead despite fire─── DANE BEISHEIM 12:25 Tue, 01 Sep 2015
Potchefstroom - Only three Grade 12 learners from Hoër Volkskool in Potchefstroom are not writing their preparatory exams today, but arrangements will be made so that they can do that as soon as possible.
These boys were taken home by their parents following last night's devastating fire at the Jack Pauw Boys' Hostel. North West Education MEC, Wendy Matsemela, visited the school this morning.
No injuries were reported after the fire and the boys have been housed at the local Elgro Hotel. Matsemela says she is pleased with the contingency plans currently in place to ensure that the learners' exams are not disrupted.
