MEC funeral: At least 4 000 mourners expected─── CATHY DLODLO 12:16 Wed, 02 Sep 2015
Kimberley - An influx of approximately 4000 mourners is expected in Kimberley to attend the memorial services and funeral of late Northern Cape education MEC Grizelda Cjiekella-Lecholo.
She died after a short illness Thursday night. The funeral is taking place on Saturday morning.
The funeral committee has indicated that four provinces – Free State, Gauteng, Limpopo and Eastern Cape - have said they would arrange busses for ANC Women’s League members to attend the funeral. Member of Parliament and member of the funeral committee, Gail Parker, says they are busy with arrangements to accommodate mourners.
