FS SAPS commissioner announces upgrades to police stations─── 07:31 Sat, 03 Oct 2015
Bloemfontein - Free State police commissioner Thabethe Mpembe has announced that police community forums will receive more resources, 14 police stations in the province will be upgraded and that a front-line service delivery programme to counter sub-standard service police delivery will be launched.
Speaking at a media briefing in Bloemfontein yesterday, Mpembe said that although the latest crime statistics indicate that the Free State is the safest province in the country but serious crimes like murder, hijacking and access to illegal firearms still remain a problem.
