NW Premier calls for calm following businessman's death─── DANE BEISHEIM 16:13 Mon, 05 Oct 2015
Mahikeng - The North West Provincial Government has slammed media reports since the fatal shooting of businessman Wandile Bozwana on Friday, that seek to draw a link between his killing and a recent Constitutional Court case.
Spokesperson Brian Setswambung told OFM News reports that Bozwana's company Tsoga Developers recently took the Provincial Government to court are incorrect. In reality, it is the Provincial Government that took the matter to the Constitutional Court last Tuesday.
Setswambung added the matter remains sub judice since judgement was reserved.
Bozwana and a colleague, Mpho Baloyi, were travelling on the N1 north from Johannesburg on Friday afternoon when gunmen in a silver-grey BMW M3 allegedly pulled up next to their car near the Garsfontein off-ramp and opened fire. He later died in hospital.
Setswambung meanwhile added that Premier Supra Mahumapelo has called for calm and for individuals to desist from making reckless statements in the public domain.
